Vuno sits on the slope between the Ceraunian Mountains and the Ionian Sea, on the SH8 coastal road. Vila Aleks gives you a peaceful base between Himarë, Dhërmi, and Gjipe.

The easiest way. Rent a car at Tirana Airport and drive the scenic SH8 coastal road over the Llogara Pass (~3.5 h). Free private parking at the villa.
Daily coastal buses run Tirana → Vlorë → Himarë → Saranda and stop in Vuno on request. Around 4–5 hours from Tirana; tickets are bought on board.
Fly to Corfu (Greece), take the ferry to Saranda (~30–70 min), then a taxi or bus north along the coast to Vuno (~1.5 h).
Taxis and private transfers are available from Tirana, Vlorë, and the Saranda ferry port, with door-to-door drop-off at the villa.

Vuno sits between the Ceraunian Mountains and the Ionian Sea — one of the last unspoilt stretches of the Riviera. Lace up for the canyon, swim in hidden coves, or take to the sky above Llogara.

The classic walk starts right from the village: down through Mediterranean scrub into the gorge, ending at Gjipe Beach for a swim before the climb home.
A 2 km gorge with walls rising nearly 100 m, opening onto a secluded pebble cove. Panoramic viewing decks line the marked track down from the parking.
Stone lanes, old churches, and traditional Riviera architecture — with sudden views that open between the houses toward the sea. Best in soft evening light.

Vuno is on the SH8 coastal road between Dhërmi and Himarë. By car it is about 3.5 hours from Tirana over the Llogara Pass, or 1.5 hours from Saranda. Free private parking is available at the house.
Jale Beach is about 10 minutes by car, and the famous Gjipe Canyon Beach is around 15 minutes (plus a short scenic walk down). Livadhi, Dhërmi, and many small coves are within easy reach.

Local tavernas in Vuno serve traditional Albanian dishes, and the coastal towns of Himarë and Dhërmi are 15 minutes away with fresh Ionian seafood, byrek, mountain cheese, and local raki.
June and September offer warm sea and quiet beaches. July and August are liveliest, while May and October are perfect for hiking, exploring, and slow village days.
